Brief Project Description:
The project consists of repair work at Building 335, Tobyhanna Army Depot, PA, as described in the contract drawings and Scope of Work Appendix, along with incidental related work. The facility will remain occupied during construction, requiring coordination with the Government Designated Representative (GDR) for access, sequencing, material storage, and work approaches.
Work includes removal, alteration, and repair of existing construction as necessary to accommodate new work while protecting adjacent facilities, equipment, utilities, and improvements. Any disturbance must be restored to equal or better condition than before construction. Prior to excavation, the contractor must obtain digging permits, coordinate with utility locating services, and perform subsurface investigations using ground-penetrating radar (GPR), electromagnetic, or sonic methods to identify and mark underground utilities. The contractor must also verify elevations of existing utilities, piping, and obstructions, and coordinate adjustments as required for installation of new systems.
