Benaka Inc a General Contracting Company is looking for experience Quality Control Manager for projects in the Tri-State area. The final Employment will be contingent upon security clearance from Federal Government as all the work will be for Federal Government inside Military Installations.
The following are some of the major responsibilities for the position.
- Work closely with the Project Superintendent, SSHO and Project Manager to coordinate the work on the project site.
- Overseeing and making decisions related to the performance of work, scheduling, delivery, logistics, quality control etc.
- Managing the work to ensure that it is installed in compliance with and conforms to the approved contract documents.
- Manage and coordinate three phases of control for all features of work. Complete all associated report forms.
- Conduct Preparatory meetings and initial inspections on all definable features of work and all new work activities.
- Conduct and keep minutes of the QC/ Production Meeting.
- Observe and monitor daily field activities for compliance with the plans and specifications. Perform field testing as required.
- Communicating with Owners/Govt. and architects/engineers in connection with field issues. Investigating and resolving such issues.
- Complete daily Production Reports for submission to the Owner and in house management.
- Prepare Purchase orders prior to ordering any material for the in house work on the project.
- Write RFI's in coordination with Project Manager.
- Conduct tool box talks on the project site on a weekly basis.
- Assist with project planning and buy out of materials prior to construction.
- Attend all job site meetings with the owners and sub-contractors.
- Manage schedule and manpower throughout the duration of the project.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft office Suite (Word, Excel and Outlook etc.)
SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:
A minimum 10 years of construction Experience, Experience with DOD construction contracts and familiarity with QCS/RMS project management software a BIG PLUS as most of the work will be on Federal Installation along the east coast; OSHA 30 Hour Certification, current USACE CQM management certification a plus; Proficiency with Web based interactive programs and Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, Project) is required.
