Brief Project Description:

Scope of work for ECM includes Plumbing, HVAC, Solar, Structural steel and Roof work.

The main objective of the Energy Conservation project is to reduce the consumption of energy throughout the Stewart Air National Guard Base by installing energy efficient mechanical, electrical, plumbing & solar equipment.

ECM project is unique as the project consists of 35,000 SF of solar panel on airport hangars; some of it installed over 100 feet above the tarmac. This also consists of coordinating the special metal framework to be installed vertically against the existing hangar walls and above outbuilding additions to the hangar. In addition, we have to provide structural steel framing on the existing underside of some buildings to support new RTU units of roof.

ECM project elements involve 12 buildings consisting of installing 35,000 SF solar panels with special recycled air system in 3 buildings, replacement of over 100 plumbing fixtures, trim and accessories, addition of 20 VFDs, replacement of motors, replacement of 2500 LF insulation of Heating, hot water piping in a hangar, replacement of major HV unit, Boilers, Air handler coils, Addition of energy recovery units and split cooling systems, all with applicable piping, ductwork, electronics, electrical work and controls.
